Work package 6 is responsible for the project’s overall management and coordination.
Resource management and mobilization has to be maximized in order to optimize the project efficiency and outcome.
The project and its planned activities may be slightly modified or re-focused if necessary taking into account project evolution and risks and only after such minor changes or adjustments are approved at the project’s Steering Board level.Effort has to be assigned in setting up a clear communication channel between the project partners as well as the project
consortium and the Commission. For this reason project meetings and conferences will be organized in order to monitor the project performance, to communicate results and define the necessary steps towards the project completion. This will help the partners to be aware of their responsibilities and tasks. In addition, regular communication and information flow with the Commission (Project Officer) needs to be established. Detailed reporting to the Project Officer is planned: periodic management and activity reports (at least one per work package), annual project review reports (APRR), cost claims, and a final report have to be prepared and submitted to the Commission. In order to ensure the smooth management of the project, all the project.s partners (leaders) will be responsible for
assisting and fully cooperating with the Project Manager in carrying out its duties efficiently and successfully. The partners will also be responsible for establishing working relationships and fostering links with any local (external) players, such as public authorities and agencies, industrial/enterprise actors (e.g., service providers, telecom operators), IRCs, etc., in order to effectively create networking hubs.Additionally, the project management activities will be responsible for actively promoting project visibility. Results
will be submitted for publication to journals/conferences in order to enhance project visibility and release useful conclusions to the telecom community. Any publishable (i.e., non-confidential) final results of the project work will be disseminated through publications in journals, conferences, workshops, through the project.s website and other proper fora. Moreover, they can be disseminated to other projects that some of the partners may participate in (e.g., FP6-IST-IPs, NoEs, COST actions).
