Part III: Workshop on “Measurement and Maintenance of Communication Cables”

Date and venue

On 15-16 May 2006, BReATH co-organized the 37th edition of the workshop “Measurement and Maintenance of Communications Cables” with the influential Czech Electrotechnical Society, which also provided sponsoring and received strong support from the incumbent Czech Telecom. The workshop took place in hotel Gomel in the city of Ceske Budejovice, the regional centre of Southern Bohemia.

Objectives

The aim of the workshop was to provide up-to-date information on cables and cable systems used in

telecommunications, their deployment, measurement methods and equipment for maintenance of cable links. The workshop was intended for cable and cable network designers, cable link builders and maintenance staff.
