BReATH events
BReATH runs a series of events providing reviews and information dissemination about relevant technologies and
methodologies to support dissemination, transfer and take-up of
IST programme results.
- Events will include seminars, workshops, small exhibitions, business to business meetings, facilities
for partnering discussions and a concluding conference.
- Technologies will cover both IST projects and commercial products and services.
- The project will pro-actively seek the involvement of academic institutions from all NMS and ACC
countries as well as companies and public service representatives.
- Events will be coordinated with Innovation Relay Centre activities and those of other relevant
organisations.

Event 3: Local workshop in the Czech Republic
This event consists of three distinct parts. The first part was a three-day workshop on FTTx technologies
held on 28 February, 1 and 2 March 2006 in Prague, Brno (Czech Republic) and Bratislava respectively. The
second part (on regulatory aspects of broadband and its deployment) took place on 29 March in Prague. The
third part was held in the South-Bohemian town of Ceske Budejovice on 15-16 May 2006; BReATH co-organised
the 37th edition of the workshop “Measurement and Maintenance of Communication Cables”.
