[2006-05-17] BReATH workshop in Czech Republic

On 15-16 May 2006, BReATH co-organized the 37th edition of the workshop “Measurement and Maintenance of Communications Cables” with the influential Czech Electrotechnical Society, which also provided sponsoring and received strong support from the incumbent Czech Telecom. [2006-04-12] BReATH workshop on developing broadband in Slovenia

On 5 April, BReATH held a workshop in Ljubljana on “Developing Broadband in Slovenia”. Around 50 participants, including representatives of the major stakeholders in Slovenia, attended the event, which was opened by the Director of the Directorate for Information Society of the Slovenian Ministry for Higher Education, Science and Technology, Mr.Joze Zrimsek.   • share their plans and requirements with respect to future broadband provision

[2006-03-22] New DSL Technology

On 22 March 2006 Infineon hosted a webinar to announce their new DSL chips. The chips are now commercially available. They are based on modern ULSI CMOS technologies and exploit Trellis/Vterbi code and spread spectrum technologies. They fit to the new VDSL2 and ADSL2/2+ standards. Range is 500 metres for 50 to 100MBit/s and 6.5 Km for 8-24 Mbit/s. Click to read more.
