The Special Interest Group targeting Poland has been officially setup on 10 January 2006. If you are
interested in joining and contributing to the goals of the SIG, please read the section ‘How to join?’.Subject
The subject of the SIG Poland is ‘Broadband for all in Poland’.
Goals
The main goal of the SIG Poland ‘Broadband for all in Poland’ is to support and contribute to the
development of broadband accessibility, which means building the necessary infrastructure and developing and providing various e-services.The SIG is meant to include all relevant stakeholders in the broadband domain in order to transfer knowledge
about best practices and to facilitate the building of partnerships between the relevant stakeholders. The SIG will thus stimulate the creation of a positive environment for broadband development in Poland. The SIG will also facilitate collaboration on research projects.Subjects to be tackled:
- Usage of Structural and Regional Funds
- Promotion of the development of the broadband services
- Providing information to the mambers
- Facilitate networking of experts working in the field
